Satellite Media Tours

In a world dominated by instantaneous telecommunications, PTA Satellite delivers state-of-the-art Satellite Media Tours (SMT). Satellite TV Tours offer superior exposure for important issues and ensure that your message reaches a significant and targeted audience, with a potential of over a million viewers across the country.

Our tours are scheduled to take place over the course of one morning, with 12-15 back-to-back news interviews with local TV stations across the country via satellite. We regularly book with affiliates of NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox for shows which lead into national news programs like The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Early Show, and FOX Morning News.

The Satellite Media Tour lasts about 3 hours, with each interview typically lasting 2-4 minutes. Many are live interviews.

PTA has booked SMTs with corporations, associations, and organizations ranging from AAA, Conde Nast and National Geographic, to Beringer Vineyards, Sierra Club, and HBO.

Radio Media Tours

Planned Television Arts offers radio publicity tours as a way to promote a specialized subject or specific message. Over the course of several weeks, we will line up stations across the country in various formats (usually news/talk or local National Public Radio affiliates) to conduct interviews. We also have the capability conduct 10-20 interviews in one morning, with the added value of targeting specific demographics within the following station formats: News/Talk, Adult Contemporary, Classic Rock, Urban, Top 40, or Country. Most recently we have worked with Hotels.com and Dunkin Donuts. Other clients include: National Geographic, Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), GQ Magazine, and AbeBooks.com.

Online Media Tours

PTA Interactive offers online media services that focus on community building, engagement and overall outreach to relevant bloggers, microbloggers, traditional online outlets, as well as to web-based powerhouses like iVillage and About.com. We conduct in-depth online landscape analyses -- which includes examining a variety of metrics -- ultimately identifying key blogs, websites, and social networks of influence. Our approach is organic, as we tailor each pitch according to the outlet and overall campaign message, in an attempt to garner as much grassroots buzz as possible.

Our community building and outreach services also extend to the work we do with clients on social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). We work closely with our clients to develop creative and consistent content on each platform, drawing their attention to their target audience and and their relevant digital dialogue. We offer one-on-one social media consultations and coaching sessions in person, by phone, and over Skype, so that clients can develop or strengthen their social media competency and comfort.

Most recently, we've worked with clients such as DIRECTV and Gatorade to execute community building efforts as well as blogger outreach campaigns that help raise brand awareness.

Spokesperson Matching

We build long-term relationships with our clients by providing expert consultation in the development and usage of quality, and appropriate celebrity spokespersons -- and provide complete integrated marketing and publicity services to deliver key client messages. We factor in client demographics, as well as budget, to come up with most appropriate spokesperson match. Most recently, we worked with "How I Met Your Mother," actress Alyson Hannigan, representing StubHub's "Mom's Night Out" campaign, as well as with celebrity chefs Bobby and Jamie Deen and television host Dr. Drew.

Press Conferences

PTA (DC) has worked with organizations, think tanks, authors, and corporations to determine the most effective and creative way to announce their news and/or position. PTA has arranged press conferences for groups such as The American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR), Honest Tea, Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing's Future, the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival, ASPCA, and The National Consumers League. PTA (DC) has also secured select media for the Pre-G20 Summit held at Carnegie Mellon, as well as The Brookings Institution's "Sprawl Hits the Wall" in LA. Our events have received coverage in media outlets including The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN American Morning, ABC World News, and NBC Nightly News. Many of our events include 8-15 camera crews.

National Media

In today's media climate, national media coverage is essential. While access to the national audience is increasingly competitive, we have all the key contacts in place to give your spokesperson the best chance of getting booked. We placed interviews with the top shows like The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Talk, Charlie Rose, and Bill O'Reilly, and pay special attention to networks and shows like CNN, FOX News Channel, CNBC, Bloomberg, C-SPAN, MSNBC, ESPN, Better TV, and the 700 Club.

PTA offers national print media services that focus on the weekly magazines, national dailies and news wires that often influence and reflect the country's interests more than any other media. PTA is in regular contact with the editors at Time, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Business Week, NY Times, LA Times, The Washington Post and other major outlets lining up feature interviews, placing column mentions or op-ed pieces.

Media Training

Planned Television Arts offers media training services that will help prepare you for your interviews. PTA coaches its clients through one-on-one, face-to-face training. We also offer training services by phone and by Skype. Our training process consists of mock interviews, a review of your presentation style -- speech patterns, word selection, and body language. We will address all of your pre-interview concerns, so that you are prepared to deliver your message in an effective, powerful, and influential manner. After completing PTA's media training, you'll be sound-bite ready.

Beringer (Treasury Wine Estates)

PTA worked with celebrity chefs and authors Jaime and Bobby Deen on a Hybrid Satellite Television and Radio Tour in promotion of Beringer Vineyards, Great Steak Challenge. The Deen Bros. newly released cookbook Get Fired Up! was also promoted and used as a hook for the corporate contest. PTA secured 15 television interviews and 10 radio interviews.

PTA conducted a Morning Drive Radio Tour in support of A Place of Remembrance, the only official companion volume to the National September 11 Memorial. The commemorative book was written by Memorial & Museum staff members, Allison Blais and Lynn Rasic.

DIRECTV

PTA worked with DIRECTV on the promotion of its Golden Globe-winning legal thriller, Damages. We targeted bloggers of influence and interest in the pop culture, media, and television worlds, asking them to post features, reviews, and exclusive content about the show’s premiere on DIRECTV. This campaign began in July 2011, and completed with the season finale in September 2011.
