PTA

Our Morning Drive Radio Tour® (MDRT) is still one of the best ways to capture the attention of a "captive" audience. The average commute seems to be increasing every year, and what better way to reach your audience than to be interviewed 18-20 times during that valuable air-time when people are on their way to work. We can target demographics and/or geographic locations. Your author/spokesperson will reach stations across the nation, in four hours of radio, and in one morning - all from the convenience of his or her own home or office. Where else can you reach millions of listeners without leaving a phone?

Our Satellite Television Tour (STV) is the television equivalent of the Morning Drive Radio Tour. Beaming your author/spokesperson to 15-18 top local television stations combines great outreach with great convenience. Although your author/spokesperson does have to leave their house and go to our studios, they still don't have to travel to each city!

Please contact:
Deborah Kohan at 212.593.5885 or kohand@plannedtvarts.com about the MDRT.
Kristin Clifford at 212-593-5827 or cliffordk@plannedtvarts.com about the STV.

Surfin'

Authors, tell about your book! How many sites do you know that have that as their headline? www.publicLibraries.com has a new section on their site entitled "About My Book." Any and all authors may click on this section and then post a paragraph about their book. The listings are then posted in chronological order - last one in gets top billing. As the site states, "It's a free and fun way to get your book exposed to our visitors as well as librarians."

Continuing the library theme, www.libraryspot.com combines the best listings and links to library and reference sites together with insightful editorial in one user-friendly spot. Although we haven't seen every library site out there yet, www.libraryspot.com ranks at the top. The Chicago Tribune called libraryspot.com "...the most useful single reference site on the Web...superb and then some." They have a reading room, reference desk, links to libraries by category (i.e. - K-12, medical, academic), trivia (such as "How many books did Dr. Suess write?") and a "You Asked for it Section" filled with questions such as "Where can I read book reviews?" among many, many other items.

Tips From the Top

Building the Best Network

Part 2: Developing Awareness
Isn't it amazing that as soon as you buy a car, you notice how many identical models are on the road? It's not that those models weren't there before; after all they didn't all just simultaneously race out of the showrooms. They were probably out there for a while, but you simply didn't register seeing them.

The same holds true for networking. In most cases, your contacts have been around for quite a while. However, to you they were friends, family, business associates or service people, not potential network contacts. When you expand your awareness to see those around you as members of your network as well, you can refine your networking focus.

Practice honing your networking focus until it becomes a highly developed skill. Begin by:

  • Asking yourself if people you know, meet or hear about could help you network.
  • Clarifying precisely how these people could help. (i.e., could they introduce you to the mayor?)
  • Asking who of the people you identified could help you the most and/or connect you with the best.
  • Finding out what places and events would be worth attending to expand your contacts.
  • Questioning how you can make the best use of information to connect you with your targets.

Developing networking focus isn't difficult. Work to get it down pat, because the ability to focus sharply is a priceless skill that will bring you rewards for the rest of your life.

The above is an excerpt from the National Best-Seller NETWORKING MAGIC by Rick Frishman and Jill Lublin.

November 4th-6th, 2005 - San Diego, CA

Gregory Scott Reid, Founder of The Millionaire Mentor Corporation is presenting a fun-filled weekend to honor the best of the best for being a Mentor to others & making an enormous impact within their field.

If you want to get to break through, become successful, be a celebrity or even a millionaire, shouldn't you learn from those who already are? If nothing else, to learn what they did right, and in many occasions, not so right? How much would it be worth for you, to bypass years of struggle and growing pains to learn what the wealthy already know?

Each day of the conference there will be 4 to 5 "keynote" speakers that will be honored for their accomplishments in their chosen expertise such as Dennis Waitley, Rick Frishman and Tom Antion. After which, they will share their key secrets and dynamic power skills toward success with you.
